Today, I want to write about my new phone. Samsung Wave (s8500).
Inside of it, it has 1ghz ARM Cortex-A8 processor running, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, Hummingbird chipset and 512mb of ram. It's actually faster than my old computer was >:0 but Times They Are a-Changin'.
Wave is running Samsungs own OS called Bada. The latest version is 1.2. The screen is super amoled, 480 x 800 pixels and 3.3 inches. Camera is 5mpx and supports 720p video record @30fps. Of course there are the main features like wlan, a-gps, bluetooth (3.0!), 3g etc. It's a great phone. Only thing missing is Android. :/ But we'll see what Bada 2.0 will be like.

First of all, I want to make clear for everyone, whats up on the battlefield of hardware.
Intel is coming up with another socket called LGA 1356. In past few years Intel had created MANY new sockets. 775>1355>1156>1356>1155 etc. Amd thou hadnt had so many of new sockets. 2006 Amd released am2 socket. After am2 there were am2+ which was compatible with am2. And after that there were am3 which was, of course, compatible with am2+. And you guess what is coming from amd next. But now.. Lets go to ati vs nvidia.
The latest generation from Ati is the HD 6xxx and from Nvidia the GF 5xx. Both are on their own sides at this battle. Ati produces spiking readings in fps and nvidia produces pretty stable run. The most powerful gpu from ati is hd 6990 and from nvidia its gtx 590.
